Hans Jacobs, PhD

Nothing in the world is as soft and yielding as water.
Yet for dissolving the hard and inflexible, nothing can surpass it.

(Lao Tse)

Publisher and scientist

I am a scientist myself; current focuses on Lippe regional history and Bohemian-Saxon industrial history.

The love of books and the love of science form an ideal combination.

I see myself as a publicist who publishes scientific thoughts and acts as a mediator between authors and scientists and their audience.

Individual support

The core of my work is individual attention to my authors. I don’t want to produce off-the-shelf works, but rather publish individually tailored books together with my authors.

Every book is different and I discuss the optimal form of publication with each author. I advise on content, style and form. On the other hand, there are the technical matters such as format, print run, paper, photos and illustrations, printing methods, etc., where I guide my authors through the technical jungle.

We offer all the necessary services in-house, such as editing, layout, cover design, technical implementation and coordination with the print shop. This leads to close and intensive cooperation.
